Composite solutions for demanding environments
Byggkomposit supplies GRP grating, profiles, handrail systems, stairs and complete access systems for projects where corrosion, low self-weight, electrical properties and long-term performance are decisive.
We are the exclusive Swedish distributor for Dura Composites and support the project with product selection, technical documentation, quotations and delivery.
See technical information on GRPA material for environments with high demands
GRP is glass fibre reinforced plastic, a composite material used where structures are exposed to corrosion, moisture, salt, chemicals or electrical installations.
The low weight of the material can simplify transport, lifting and installation. Because GRP does not rust, no painting, galvanising or repeated corrosion treatment is required.
Product selection should always be matched to load, clear span, environment, foot traffic, fire requirements and the other conditions of the project.
Corrosion resistant
GRP does not rust or rot and suits environments with moisture, salt and many chemicals.
Lightweight
The low self-weight can simplify transport, handling and installation.
Electrically non-conductive
GRP has electrically insulating properties that can be relevant in rail, energy and electrical environments.
Low maintenance
GRP requires no painting, galvanising or corrosion treatment.

Dura TrackGlo combines a GRP walkway with integrated LED lighting. The solution can provide clear walking lines, highlighting changes in level and direction in dark rail, industrial and infrastructure environments.
The lighting can contribute to safer movement and reduced fall risk, but must be designed based on the site's specific usage, risk assessment and current requirements for luminance, uniformity, glare and colour rendering.
AFS 2023:12 Swedish Work Environment Authority regulations on how workplace lighting must be adapted to activities and enable safe movement.
SS-EN 12464-2:2024 Standard for lighting of outdoor work places, covering light level, uniformity, glare and colour rendering.
Technical requirements (e.g. Trafikverket) In rail environments, relevant national and project-specific requirements for electrical installation, positioning, glare, control, maintenance and safety must also be followed.
Dura TrackGlo should be seen as one part of the overall lighting solution. The system's light level, electrical connection and technical design need to be verified for each specific installation.

Integrated lighting
The LED lighting is integrated into the walkway system and marks the walking line.
Lightweight
GRP components can simplify installation in areas with restricted access.
Project-specific design
Light level, positioning and electrical connection need to be matched to the specific environment.
