d2 Dura Platform is a modular GRP platform system for the new build, extension and refurbishment of railway platforms. Its low self-weight construction simplifies installation, reduces heavy lifting and delivers a hard-wearing platform with a long service life and minimal maintenance.
Safer and more accessible railway platforms
d2 Dura Platform can be used to refurbish, extend or build new station platforms. The system makes it possible to adjust platform height and position in order to reduce the stepping distance between the train and the platform edge.
The modular construction is low self-weight and can be installed over an existing platform or combined with a load-bearing steel substructure for new build. This reduces the need for extensive demolition, groundworks and heavy lifting.
The system can be adapted to the existing conditions at the station and helps improve safety, accessibility and water run-off.

Shorter installation times
The modular system can reduce installation time by up to 65 per cent, which means shorter service disruption, fewer working hours on or near the track and a faster return to passenger use.
Ideal where access is restricted
Its low weight makes the system particularly useful on sites with restricted access, short possessions or where heavy lifting equipment cannot be used.
Effective water run-off
Platform height and gradient can be adjusted to create the correct fall and direct rainwater away from the walking surface.
Two installation methods for different projects
Both solutions are based on d2 Dura Platform 40 – a low self-weight, modular and slip-resistant platform surface. The system can be used to refurbish existing stations as well as for new build and platform extensions.
Adjustable system for existing platforms
Mountbridge™ is installed as an overlay on the existing platform and is used to correct level differences and reduce the stepping distance between the train and the platform edge.
The system allows a station to be upgraded without extensive demolition or groundworks. Height and gradient can be adjusted to suit the project while improving water run-off across the platform.

Modular platform panels with a hard-wearing anti-slip surface
d2 Dura Platform 40 is the platform panel used in both installation systems. The panels combine low weight with high structural performance and a hard-wearing, slip-resistant surface for environments with heavy footfall.
