d2 – the next generation of GRP

Market-leading performance – with up to 33% lower embodied carbon. d2 Dura Grating is Dura Composites' patented GRP grating range.

GRP with long service life, faster installation and lower climate impact

Dura Grating is a patented range of GRP grating that combines high structural performance with lower embodied carbon. The range is developed and manufactured exclusively by Dura Composites and carries an industry-leading fire class B according to BS EN 13501-1.

The products are durable and designed to meet demanding load requirements. Their low weight makes the grating easier to transport, handle and install. This contributes to faster installation and can reduce both labour and installation costs.

The grating also requires minimal maintenance and has a long service life. Together this gives a lower total cost of ownership and a reliable solution for walkways, platforms and other demanding environments.

Four benefits of d2

Safe to use

Designed for safer working environments

Dura Grating is fire-classified, electrically insulating and does not corrode. The anti-slip surface retains 95% of its performance even after one million steps. Small mesh openings also reduce the risk of objects falling through.

Strong for its weight

High performance with less material

d2 is up to 33% lighter than comparable GRP grating without compromising strength or function. This makes it possible to specify lighter and more cost-effective solutions that still meet the project's load and deflection requirements.

Lower climate impact

Up to 33% lower embodied carbon

The patented design uses less raw material without compromising performance. The result is up to 33% lower embodied carbon compared with competing GRP products.

Documented performance

Technical data that makes your choice easier

Performance, strength and material properties are thoroughly tested and documented. You get access to technical data that makes it easier to compare d2 with steel, timber and other GRP products – based on facts rather than assumptions.
