GRP ladders for safe access in demanding environments
Dura Safety Ladders are pultruded GRP ladders for fixed installation on facades, tanks, towers and platforms. Corrosion-resistant, non-conductive and low self-weight — developed for a long service life with low maintenance.
Replaces steel and aluminium in fixed ladders and access systems
Dura Safety Ladders are pultruded GRP ladders developed as a long-lasting, corrosion-resistant and low self-weight alternative to steel and aluminium ladders. The range includes facade ladders, roof and tank access ladders, safety cages, rest platforms and accessories for a complete access system.
The ladders are used in water and wastewater facilities, process industry, chemical processing, offshore, rail and energy sectors, and in any environment where steel or aluminium ladders corrode quickly or where non-conductive material is required for safety reasons.
Dura Safety Ladders are non-conductive, spark-free and magnetically neutral — making them ideal for electrical installations, explosive environments and work near sensitive electronics. The surface has an anti-slip finish with integrated quartz sand for secure grip in all weather.
Corrosion-resistant
An alternative to steel and timber — no rust, no rot.
Low weight
Around 25% of the weight of steel — easier handling and installation.
Non-conductive & spark-free
Ideal for electrical, marine and explosive environments.
Anti-slip surface
Integrated quartz sand provides secure grip in all weather.
Four advantages of Dura Safety Ladders
Dura Safety Ladders combine pultruded GRP technology with modular design and open material data — giving you a safe, durable and easily installed access solution for its entire service life.
Safer
Dura Safety Ladders are non-conductive, spark-free and magnetically neutral — ideal for electrical, marine and chemical environments. The rungs have an anti-slip surface with integrated quartz sand that provides secure grip even in rain, oil or frost.
Stronger
Our GRP ladders are designed and tested against relevant European safety standards for fixed ladders and access systems. Pultruded GRP provides a homogeneous, high-strength construction that withstands repeated heavy loading without rusting or fatiguing.
Corrosion-resistant
Dura Safety Ladders do not rust and require no painting or galvanising cycles. Ideal for water and wastewater, offshore, process industry, chemical processing and other demanding environments where steel and aluminium ladders wear out prematurely.
Easy installation
At around 25% of the weight of steel, Dura Safety Ladders can be handled and installed without heavy lifting equipment. Modular design with safety cages, rest platforms and accessories means the system can be adapted to every project.
Low self-weight, safe access solution
Dura Safety Ladders offer an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Where steel ladders require heavy lifting and regular surface treatment, GRP ladders can be handled manually — shorter installation time, fewer injuries and lower logistics cost.
Low maintenance across the service life
Glass-reinforced polymer does not rust, rot or lose colour. Dura Safety Ladders require no painting cycles or surface treatments — and retain their performance for decades in water, saline environments and chemicals.
Tested and certified
The range includes ladders, safety cages, rest platforms and anti-slip systems. All components are designed against relevant European standards for fixed ladders — and are compatible with our Dura Grating and Dura Profile products.
