Complete pedestrian and access ramps
Complete GRP ramps are built up from an anti-slip walking surface, a load-bearing support structure and, where required, handrailing and edge protection.
The ramps can be used to create safe routes between platforms, walkways, entrances and other areas at different heights. The construction is designed around the change in level, loading, width and safety requirements of the project.
The walking surface can be specified in open mesh GRP grating where water and debris need to pass through, or in solid panels where a continuous surface is required.

Chamfered edging ramps for smaller level changes
Chamfered GRP profiles are fitted at the edge of grating, platforms and other raised walking surfaces. They create a smoother transition to concrete, asphalt or an adjoining floor.
The profiles suit locations where a smaller difference in height needs to be bridged and can ease access for pedestrians, trolleys, wheelchairs and other wheeled equipment.

d2 Dura Grating has a hard-wearing anti-slip surface developed to deliver a low slip risk in both dry and wet conditions.
Testing shows that the surface retains 95 per cent of its anti-slip performance after one million footsteps, making it suitable for ramps and routes with regular foot traffic.
The right walking surface should always be selected on the basis of the users, the environment and the type of traffic. For routes used by small wheels, walking sticks or other mobility aids, a smaller mesh size or a solid surface may be more suitable than traditional open mesh grating.

A material for exposed and corrosive environments
GRP is not affected by corrosion in the same way as steel and normally requires no painting, galvanising or anti-corrosion treatment. This results in limited maintenance and can contribute to a long service life.
