d2 GRP Profile Grating — pultruded grating for long spans
The product is a pultruded GRP grating developed for high demands on strength, stiffness and large spans. It is available with several different bearing bar profiles and can be tailored to the project's load requirements, drainage needs and visual appearance.
d2 GRP Profile Grating is a strong and lightweight alternative to moulded GRP mesh grating and traditional materials such as steel. The high load-bearing capacity makes profile grating particularly suitable for structures with large spans and for environments with recurring impacts and loads. Load capacity and permissible span must always be verified against technical data and the actual project conditions.
The open structure provides effective drainage, while the material is corrosion resistant, chemical resistant and electrically insulating. This makes profile grating well suited to industry, energy, infrastructure, marine environments and other exposed applications.
Manufacturing through pultrusion technology gives a consistent and controlled material quality. Profile grating is available with flat, I- and T-shaped bearing bars, making it possible to choose the right combination of strength, stiffness, weight and open area for each project.
The blue profile grating is a popular choice for manhole and inspection covers on railways, aquaculture facilities, and drainage walkways and pool surrounds.
The pultruded profiles are also well suited as covers for cable and duct trenches where the structure needs to withstand vehicle loading. This makes them particularly useful in infrastructure projects within power, telecommunications and other utility services.
