GRP stair nosings for a clearer leading edge
Dura Tread stair nosings are fitted to the leading edge of existing stair treads, combining a gritted anti-slip surface with clear contrast marking.
Improved grip and visibility where the foot lands
Nosings suit stairways where the rest of the tread is in good condition but the leading edge needs improved grip, better visibility or protection against further wear.
The product is non-structural and must be fitted to a stable, properly prepared surface. A nosing does not replace the repair of a damaged tread.
Nosings can be used on concrete, timber, chequer plate and GRP grating, and are cut to the width of the stairway.

Installation

- Fixing is mechanical, with a suitable adhesive or a combination of both.
- Check that the nosing sits flush along the full leading edge and creates no new trip edge.
Frequently asked questions
A nosing covers only the leading edge, while a stair tread cover spans most of the walking surface. Nosings are used when the rest of the tread is in good condition.
